Introduction

Reason of the blog: I am a MPA (Master of Public Administration) student, and I think in order to fully understand the knowledge that I receive is to express my understandings in words.

Career

I am highly motivated and multilingual professional with Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and am a candidate in the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program. I have 4+ years of professional experience in the United States as well as involvement in volunteer and consulting opportunities. I am looking to work in the field of human development and administration in an effort to advance social action and justice.

Journey from Korea to America

- Came to America planning to work in music industry (for piano), however, the dream changed and next target was the business industry.

- Follow by the career change in young age, I started to work in hospitality industry to understand the degree and build strong resume.

- Unfortunately, I faced some challenges applying for working visa or sponsorships from companies after college. I decided to broaden my career field from hospitality industry (for-profit) to public sector.

- Currently I am working on my second year of Master of Public Administration program with non-profit management certification.

Plans for the blog

- I wish to share things that I learn and worked on in a journal format.

- MeMO format will be up to share my suggestions to the articles or topic that I achieved.

- I will also post my projects to share my view points.
